As far as I can tell, the jury is out as to whether diet contributes to acne -- either as a cause or as a cure. Do a Google search and you'll find plenty of people maintaining that a healthy diet helps lessen the severity of the outbreaks or helps prevent an acne outbreak from occurring. On the other hand, we also find information posted on medical web sites saying that diet has no role to play at all, and that medical care and pharmaceutical solutions are recommended. I believe that anyone with severe acne, especially cystic acne, should certainly consult with a physician. Otherwise, and as well as, I believe natural acne cures have a role to play. For example, there are various studies suggesting that food sensitivities may indeed contribute to acne. In one such study, women consuming large amounts of dairy products were found to have more acne breakouts than women who ingested smaller amounts. However, the researchers suggest that this could be caused by the high levels of hormones found in fresh dairy products, rather than in the dairy products themselves. One thing is for sure: natural acne cures such as a good diet and vitamins for acne will certainly not hurt anyone, and there is an excellent chance they can help.
